Episode 615 - Rural Storm Shelters addthis
Rural Storm Shelters
Oklahoma is one of the states that is often struck tornadoes each year. It’s a real concern when destructive twisters roar across the open spaces of farms and ranches of the Sooner State. For rural families, it means taking some critical steps to protect people and property.

Oklahoma resident Vince Mims saw an opportunity to face the threat. Through research, he discovered a way to construct storm shelters strong enough to install above ground and build right into people’s homes. We’ll learn about this innovation designed to give residents a chance to stay indoors rather than try to run from one of nature’s deadliest events.
