Cycling Back to the Land
Shayne Suppes once thought his future lay away from the farm. His interest in motorcycles took him to a job in southern California, a long way from the fields on his family’s farm in Kansas. His parents and grandparents were hoping that he would stay home to continue in farming. After eight years, their wish was fulfilled.

Today, Shayne is back on the farm, helping his family manage the daily activities that come with raising thousands of acres of row crops. Shayne’s story is not unlike that of many other young people, who must make decisions about their future and the future of agriculture.
