Harvesting Health
Dr. Daphne Miller is a practicing family physician, science writer, Clinical Professor at the University of California San Francisco, and Research Scientist at the University of California Berkeley School of Public Health. In her Harvesting Health segments, Dr. Miller introduces us to many small and diverse farmers who practice sustainability and work to preserve traditional and practical ways of growing specialty crops that improve our soil, air, and water. Dr. Miller also shows us how healthy eating starts well before the dinner table. She is a longtime proponent of the idea of “food as medicine” and the importance of providing fresh, nutritious food to underserved communities and people facing health challenges.
