Kansas

Known as the Wheat State and the breadbasket of the nation, Kansas typically produces more wheat than any other state. Winter wheat, which is grown in virtually every county, is grazed by about 5.7 million cattle during the fall and spring, and allowed to grow and ripen during the summer months. Back in 1990 wheat farmers produced enough wheat to make 33 billion loaves of bread or enough to provide each person on earth 5 loaves of bread.  Russell Springs, Kansas claims to be home to the wheat capitol of the world. Other leading crops include alfalfa, hay, oats, barley, popcorn.
